Privacy Policy
Wattnap rewards you with points for charging your phone overnight. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to get rid of it. It applies to the Wattnap iOS app, the Telegram mini app and wattnap.com.
What we collect
- Account data. A device identifier generated on your device, and the display name you enter. An email address only if you choose to give one. If you open Wattnap inside Telegram, your Telegram user id and first name.
- Charging data. Battery level, whether the phone is charging, and the time of each reading. This is what the points are calculated from.
- Technical data. IP address, time zone, app build number, and the device model reported by the operating system. The IP address is used to detect abuse of the referral programme and is not shared.
- Notification token. If you allow notifications, Apple gives us a push token so we can wake the app at night and tell you in the morning that points are ready.
- Optional anonymous statistics. If you opt in during sign-up, we add aggregate statistics about charging sessions and device models. No personal data is included. You can switch this off in your profile at any time.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your contacts, photos, location, browsing history, or the contents of anything on your phone. We do not use advertising identifiers and we do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell personal data.
Why we keep it
- To count charging time and award points, which is the purpose of the app.
- To deliver rewards you redeem, such as an eSIM package or a gift card.
- To detect fraud, such as fake referrals or manufactured charging sessions.
- To send the morning notification, if you allowed notifications.
Who else sees it
- Apple delivers our push notifications and receives only the push token and the message.
- Reward partners receive the minimum needed to issue what you redeemed, for example an email address for a gift card.
- Adsgram serves rewarded video inside the Telegram version only and confirms to us that a video was watched. There is no advertising in the iOS app.
Our servers are operated by Hostinger in the European Union.
How long we keep it
Account and charging data are kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, everything tied to it is erased immediately: profile, points, charging history, referrals and notification tokens. Server backups roll over within 30 days.
Your choices
- Delete your account. Profile, then Delete account. It is immediate and permanent, and needs no email to us.
- Turn off anonymous statistics. In your profile at any time.
- Turn off notifications. In iOS Settings, or in your profile.
- Ask for a copy of your data or for correction. Write to us and we answer within 30 days.
Children
Wattnap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
